The weight of steel depends on length, width, thickness, and quantity. Let us assume the length, width, thickness and quantity of steel plate is 7 meter, 4 meter, 6 mm and 5 numbers respectively.
Solution:-
Step1:- Volume of steel plate = length x width x thickness x no.
{Note* If you want to calculate weight of single steel plate only, then don’t multiply with quanity of plate above}
Volume of steel plate = 7 x 4 x 0.006 x 5 meter cube
Volume of steel plate = 0.84 meter cube
Step2:- Weight of steel plate = Volume x Density
Weight of steel plate = 0.84 x 7850 = 6594 Kg.
Hence, In this way we can calculate the total weight of chequered steel plate.
