**Solution:-**

Given,

- Length (L): 4 meters
- Width of flange (Wfâ€‹): 0.3 meters
- Thickness of flange (Tfâ€‹): 6 mm = 0.006 meters
- Thickness of web (Twâ€‹): 8 mm = 0.008 meters
- Total height (H): 0.3 meters
- Quantity: 5

**Step1:-** Total Area of Flange (Af) = Width of flange x thickness of flange x 2

Af = 0.3 x 0.006 x 2 = 0.0036 meter square

**{Note*There are two number of flange in I beam so, multiply it with 2}**

**Step2:-** Calculate Area of Web = (Total Height â€“ 2 x Thickness of Flange) x Thickness of web

Aw = (0.3- 2 x 0.006) x0.008 = 0.288 x 0.008 = 0.002304 meter square.

**Step3:-** Add Total Area of I Beam

TA = Af + Aw = 0.0036 + 0.002304 = 0.005904 meter square.

**Step4:-** Weight of Single I Beam = **Volume x Density** = **Length x Area x Density**

Weight of steel plate = **L x TA x 7850** = **4 x 0.005904 x 7850** = **185.3 Kg.**

Hence, In this way we can calculate the total weight of I Beam.

**Step4:-** Cost of Single I Beam = Weight x Cost per Kg = **185.3 **x 155 = **28721.5 Rs.**
