Total cost of Carper:
How to use Carpet cost calculator? Carpet cost calculator helps you to calculate the total area and cost of carpet for required area. Just follow the steps below,
Step1:- Input the length and width of carpet area.
Step2:- Input the rate of carpet per feet sqaure and installation cost per square feet.
Step3:- Click on calculate button to get the result in second.
How do you calculate square feet for carpet? To calculate square feet for carpet for your room, follow the steps below. Let you have a area of given dimension,
Length (l) = 4 meter
Width (w) = 3 meter
Now,
Step1:- Convert length and width of carpet to Feet:
Length (l) : 4 meters * 3.281 feet/meter ≈ 13.124 feet
Width (w) : 3 meters * 3.281 feet/meter ≈ 9.843 feet
(Since, There are approximately 3.281 feet in 1 meter)
Step2:- Calculate the Area in Square Feet:
We have, Area = Length * Width
Area ≈ 13.124 feet * 9.843 feet
Area ≈ 129.17 square feet
Therefore, a carpet with a length of 4 meters and a width of 3 meters is approximately 129.17 square feet. In this way you can calculate the square footage for your carpet. You can use Carpet cost Calculator above to calculate cost and area directly.
(Note* :- You can add extra 3-4% of carpet for wastage and lapping belween the carpet. this will provide more accurate measurement for you carpeting area.)
How do you calculate square yards for carpet? To calculate square yards for carpet for your room, follow the steps below. Let you have a area of given dimension,
Length (l) = 4 meter
Width (w) = 3 meter
Now,
Step1:- Convert length and width of carpet to Feet:
Length (l): 4 meters * 3.281 feet/meter ≈ 13.124 feet
Width(w): 3 meters * 3.281 feet/meter ≈ 9.843 feet
(Since, There are approximately 3.281 feet in 1 meter.)
Step2:- Calculate the Area in Square Feet:
Area = Length * Width
Area ≈ 13.124 feet * 9.843 feet
Area ≈ 129.17 square feet
Step3:- Convert Square Feet to Square Yards:
Area in Square Yards = Area (sq ft) / 9
Area ≈ 129.17 sq ft / 9
Area ≈ 14.35 square yards
(Since, There are 9 square feet in 1 square yard.)
Therefore, a carpet with a length of 4 meters and a width of 3 meters is approximately 14.35 square yards. In this way you calculate square yards for carpet .
(Note* :- Again, You can add extra 3-4% of carpet for wastage and lapping belween the carpet. this will provide more accurate measurement for you carpeting area.)
How to calculate carpet for stairs? Let, we have a stair of following dimension of the its components.
Riser = 7 inches
Tread = 10 inches
Stair Width = 3 feet
Total number of steps = 13 Nos.
Now, let us calculate step by steps.
Now follow the steps below to calculate carpet for stairs.
Step1:- Calculate the Area per Step:
Add the riser height and tread depth: 7 inches + 10 inches = 17 inches Convert the value to feet: 17 inches / 12 inches/foot = 1.42 feet Now, Multiply (b) by the stair width = 1.42 feet * 3 feet = 4.26 square feet per Step Step2:- Calculate Total area of Stair:
Multiply the area per step by the total number of stairs = 4.26 sq ft/step * 13 steps = 55.38 square feet (Note* If your stairs have a nosing or overhang on the tread, then you have to add an extra 1-2 inches to the tread depth for each step in calculations. Further if the stair is dog legged , then you must calculate the area of carpet for the landing of stairs)
Step3:- Add Extra percentage for Waste:
Add 10-15% to the total area for cutting, lapping and waste. For example if we add 15 % of extra carpet then: 55.38 sq ft * 0.15 = 8.31 sq ft extra Hence, Total carpet needed will be: 55.38 sq ft + 8.31 sq ft = 63.69 sq ft Step4:- Convert to Square Yards:
Divide the total square footage by 9: 63.69 sq ft / 9 = 7.08 square yards Therefore, you would need approximately 7.08 square yards of carpet for a given data of stairs.
