  1. They require a high initial cost for construction.
  2. Experts and skilled manpower are required for the design and construction of the structure.
  3. All the constituents of reinforced concrete are not locally available everywhere. Hence, more time and money needs to be invested in the collection of construction materials.
  4. At the end of useful life, reinforced concrete structures need to be dismantled. Hence, they possess negative scrap value.
