Cost of tile flooring Calculation

Step-1

1) Calculate The Area of the Floor

Area = Length x Breadth of Room

= 16 x 12 = 224 Sq. feet

Step-2

2) Calculate the Area of the Skirting

Skirting is the border at the bottom of the wall to prevent the wall from dirt, water seepage, etc. It also makes the edge of the wall attractive.

Area s1 = Length x Height

= 16’ x 4” x 2

= 16’ x 4/12’ x 2

= 10.66 Sq. feet

Area s2 = Length x Height

= 12’ x 4” x 2

= 12’ x 4/12’ x 2

= 8 Sq. feet

Step-3

3) Total Area of Tile Required

Area  = Floor Area + Skirting Area

= 224 + 10.66 + 8

= 242.66 Sq. feet

Step-4

4) Add 10% Wastage

= 242.66 x 10% 0f 242.66

= 242.66 + 24.26

= 266.926 Sq. feet

Step-5

5) Total Cost

Cost  = Total Area x Rate of tile per sq.feet

= 266.926 x 80

= Rs. 21,354.08
