How to use Area of Sector Calculator?

Step1:- At first Input the Radius of sector (r) in Area of Sector Calculator.

Note* Choose the unit of measurement for the radius from the dropdown list next to it (in meters, feet, centimeters, or inches).

Step2:- Now Input the Central Angle (θ):
Enter the central angle of the sector in degrees (the angle formed between the two radii at the center of the circle). The value should be between 0 to 360 degrees.

Step3:- Click the “Calculate” Button:
Once you have entered all the required values, click the “Calculate” button.

Step5:- Finally you will be able to View the Results of Area of Sector Calculator.
The calculator will display the area of the sector in the following units:
Square meters
Dhur (a unit of area used in Nepal)
Aana (another unit of area used in Nepal)
Square feet

Numerical to calculate Area of Sector of circle

To calculate the area of a sector of a circle, we can use the following formula:

Area of Sector Calculator

Area of Sector= (360/θ) × π × r2

Where:

  • θ is the central angle in degrees.
  • r is the radius of the circle.
  • 𝜋 is approximately 3.14159.

Where:

  • θ is the central angle in degrees.
  • (r) is the radius of the circle.
  • 𝜋 is approximately 3.14159.

Given:

  • Radius ((r)) = 21 feet
  • Central angle (θ) = 70 degrees

Let’s use these values into the formula:

Area of Sector= (360/θ) × π × r2

= 360/70 x 3.14159 x 212

=0.1944×π×441

Using, 𝜋≈3.14159

Area of Sector≈0.1944×3.14159×441

Area of Sector≈269.52 square feet

Thus, the area of the sector is approximately 269.52 square feet.
